The Hashgraph Association Launches the Hashgraph Enterprise Program (HEP) to Accelerate Development of Institutional-Grade Solutions for Enterprises

With its massive transaction volumes reaching over 1 billion per month on the mainnet, the lowest carbon footprint, and an ever-growing global community, Hedera is the leading enterprise-grade public DLT network. With this program, The Hashgraph Association will enable enterprises around the world to build on Hedera, including providing professional training and executive workshops as well as technical engineering, solution implementation support, and project funding.

Zürich — 18th April 2023 — The Hashgraph Association, a non-profit organization accelerating the broad adoption of the Hedera network globally and supporting the transformation of enterprises to build Web3 use cases and institutional-grade solutions on the Hedera network, today announced the launch of the Hashgraph Enterprise Program (HEP). The Hashgraph Association welcomes Rob Allen, previously SVP of Ecosystem Growth at The HBAR Foundation, to its leadership team and expand its personnel with ten additional new hires in 2023, covering Senior Project Managers and DLT Solution Architects to support the launch and operations of the Hashgraph Enterprise Program.

The Hashgraph Enterprise Program (HEP) is an enterprise-focused innovation program aimed at accelerating the development and deployment of enterprise use cases on the Hedera network through a well-established and proven innovation framework. The program is operated by a highly experienced team of professionals dedicated to ensuring the successful development and execution of large, sophisticated solutions and decentralized applications, leveraging the Hedera hashgraph technology.

The program, supported with up to USD $22.5M worth of hbar from Hedera, aims to drive the onboarding of more than forty enterprise projects per year. Projects will be eligible for up to $500k USD equivalent in HBAR funding per participating enterprise, with preference given to those that bring forward co-funding. The program has already qualified a number of initial enterprise projects, including projects with existing members of the Hedera Governing Council, as part of The Hashgraph Association’s continued commitment to bring more enterprise organizations to join the Hedera ecosystem and build on the Hedera platform.

Monique Jeanne Morrow, Independent Board Director for the Hedera Governing Council, said, “Onboarding enterprises to the Hedera network is not simply about growing the Hedera ecosystem. It is about dispelling myths about DLT and showcasing the value and usability of this technology. It is about supporting large players in the technology space as they embrace change in the form of disruptive technology. It is about introducing a secure, trustless platform on which businesses can thrive and scale as we brave the next era of the internet.”

Kamal Youssefi, President of the Board of The Hashgraph Association, said: “The launch of this program aligns with our long-term vision to achieve broad adoption of the Hedera network globally. In 2022, we welcomed over 36 projects around the globe and onboarded more than 18 ecosystem partners, including some of the world’s leading system integrators (IBM, HCL, Orange) and academic institutions (Fraunhofer, University of Zurich, ESSEC). This initial success demonstrates our commitment towards enabling the build-up of a vibrant ecosystem for Hedera-powered projects and enhancing the professional environment for the Hedera community.”

Rob Allen, Executive Director at The Hashgraph Association, said, “I am delighted to take up this important new role in the Hedera ecosystem. Hedera is an enterprise-grade public distributed ledger network with a Governing Council made up of some of the world’s greatest companies and institutions, many of which are actively exploring building solutions on Hedera – and the HEP is being implemented to accelerate that adoption. As a former Governing Council member, it will be an honor to work closely with these organizations and their peers to support their transition to Web3 using this revolutionary technology. Having seen the success that The Hashgraph Association has achieved with its Innovation Program I have no doubt that I have joined the perfect team to achieve this next stage of growth for Hedera.”
